Haluk Özmutlu was born in 1966 in Ankara. After completing his high school education at Le Lycee Saint Joseph, he graduated from Civil Engineering department of Bosphorus University in 1990. He continued his studies in EMBA program of Koç University in 1995.

Haluk worked in Ford Otosan as Regional Sales Manager for 5 years, then joined adidas Turkey in 1998. After serving as Sales Director and Commercial Director of Turkey and then a Zone (Turkey, Israel, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus), he was finally appointed as the Managing Director and Board Member of the Zone in 2005. During his time as Managing Director, adidas became undisputable market leader in the sporting goods industry in the Zone countries. The Zone turned out to be one of the biggest profit generators of the whole adidas Group with a double digit growth rate for 7 years in a row, until 2013. Haluk now is a founder partner of a HN Inşaat, a construction company.

Haluk was also awarded the most prestigious award in Turkish Retail Sector; the Retail Sun Award “Best Professional Manager” in 2011.
